Managed by Wakefield Development company the subdivison placed ahead of 1,400 other entrants at the US National Association of Homebuilders Awards. The Preserve At Jordan Lake
June 12th, 2006The Preserve at Jordan Lake has been getting a lot of attention recently due to the speed of home sales and the seemingly endless parade of new homes. The area is undoubtedly beautiful and is very conveniently located for both Chapel Hill and RTP. All of the homes there are not ideal however, and it requires the expertise of an experienced Chapel Hill Realtor to make sure that buyers are getting the best possible value with their purchase. Visit www.shellyhashomes.com to find a realtor who can navigate the listings at The Preserve at Jordan Lake and find you the right home at the right price.
Holly Springs Real Estate Expected to Explode
June 9th, 2006It was announced this week that the town of Holly Springs won a grant from the The Golden Leaf Foundation to help it incent a drug maker to set up shop in the area. The grant totalled $800,000 and if the deal goes through will represent a tremendous boost for an already booming area. New Construction in Holly Springs goes on unabated, and the once sleepy town threatens to become one of the fastest growing small cities in the US. Holly Springs is perfectly situated, just a few minutes from the Crossroads area in Cary, and within commuting distance of both RTP and Raleigh. It manages to combine small town olde worlde charm with new and thoroughly modern neighborhoods, like the Sunset Oaks subdivision.
Wake Forest Sees Steady Growth In Luxury Home Sales
June 8th, 2006While the cities to the South of Raleigh like Holly Springs, Apex and Cary get a lot of attention from speculators looking to flip houses for a profit, the areas North of Raleigh are sometimes overlooked. In Wake Forest, luxury homes have been appreciating at a slightly slower pace, but with the completion of I540, continued pressure on the area between Raleigh and Falls Lake, and the steady influx of new residents to the Triangle, I would expect this trend to accelerate. Wake Forest real estate is highly desirable due to the home town feel and the proximity to both RTP and all the major cities of the Triangle. An hour commute is acceptable to our new neighbors from crowded northern cities, so expect there to be more interest in both Rolesville and Wake Forest.

North Raleigh Real Estate Prices Catch Up
June 7th, 2006It has puzzled me for quite some time that the rest of the Triangle was appreciating at a fantastic rate, while the prices in North Raleigh Real Estate seemed to be pretty constant. New construction in areas like Copper Ridge seemed to be increasing, but established neighborhoods were crawling along at a steady 5%. A listing I saw recently however, put an end to that trend.
There is a listing on Valley Lake Drive for $550,000. It is on Valley lake, with four bedrooms, three baths and a half an acre yard. I think they may be a little optimistic, but never the less, the houses in that Raleigh neighborhood seemed to be going for $300,000 or under. Just another sign that Raleigh is joining the housing boom.
